As Obama’s health care battle ranges on, International recording artist David Nall has something to fix us up real good. It’s his fun, clever and energizing country music that has the power to make people feel just great.
Anyone looking to cure their ills owes it to themselves to check out Nall’s new CD “Klean Kountry,” available at his Web site (www.davidnall.com) and iTunes, Napster and CD Baby.
The project features 17 songs written by Nall: “Something ‘Bout Texas,” “Honk If You Play For Keeps,” “She’s A Real Go Get Her,”” It’s A Good Thing,” “Just Git-R Done,” “Tears Don’t Come Easy For A Man,” “I Couldn’t Be Me Without You,” “The Cross on I40,” “Sleep Don’t Come Easy For Me, “ “I’m Well Known in San Antone,” “Don’t Squat With Your Spurs On,” “River Jordan, “ “I Been Framed,” “The Love That You Give Me,” “To Hear You Say Shoog,” “Just Like Fingers” and “Don’t Let Tulia Fool Ya.”
“Singing and writing my own songs gives me an opportunity to make a positive impact on people by relating some of my own life experiences,” said Nall. “And I often add in a little humor to make it more fun for my audiences. When they feel good, so do I.”
On his quest to make a positive impact with his creative talents, Nall has perserved through the sometimes unpleasant side effects of the music business . Twenty years before becoming a solo artist, The Justin, TX resident formed two bands that never became as popular as he had hoped. His disappointment prompted a long hiatus from performing and a new venture as a pharmacist took center stage.
But destiny continued to call and David finally began to reconnect with his beloved music. In 2006, he teamed up with his longtime friend and professional musician Mike McAdoo to record a country/gospel CD. The success of the project, “Seek Ye First His Kingdom” inspired Nall to begin performing all over Texas.
“Having a successful career in the music business is a big challenge, but one that I am always up for,” said Nall, who has shared the stage with Reba McEntire and The Oak Ridge Boys. “And regardless of what obstacles I face, the music always inspires me to continue on. Music is greatest medicine there is.”
Along with “Klean Kountry” and “Seek Ye First His Kingdom,” Nall has released five other CDs: “River Jordan Collection No. 1,” “River Jordan Collection No. 2,” “River Jordan Old Fashioned Christmas,” “The Cross on I-40,” and “The Power of Jesus Is Real.”
David’s latest single, “Something ‘Bout Texas” has been rapidly rising up the New Music Weekly charts and is now at No. 47. His single, "What Must I Do To Get To Heaven?" reached Nol. 1 on GTE Music Magazine's Country Gospel chart in August, 2009. In 2008, Nall was awarded GTE Music Magazine’s “Most Played Overseas Artist of the Year.” He also was a Top 5 finalist in 2007 for Agapefest’s “Male Songwriter of the Year Award.”
