"Seldom do I meet someone who has such a strong foundation and a warm heart as Michael Stosic.  Michael is truly a man of God and seeks to uplift the Lord in everything he does."

Little Laughing George. Yes, that name seemed quite apropos for the African boy who Christian recording artist Michael Stosic says he will never forget. Stosic remembers how the child, who he met on a recent ministry trip to Africa, radiated joy with his wide smile and infectious laugh that sounded a bit like Jerry Lewis.

The boy’s mother said her son was happy simply because someone took the time to come to see him. On this rare occasion, he felt so cared about and valued that he could hardly contain his excitement. Stosic was touched beyond words. And after that meeting, he said his work as a singer/songwriter and minister of the Gospel has been forever changed.

“Most of the people in Africa feel so lost and alone,” said Stosic, a licensed minister. “I love them dearly and want to show them how much God loves through my music ministry. It’s amazing how much of an impact it has on these people when Americans make the effort to go over there and help them in some way. It’s truly life-changing for everyone involved.”

Over the years, Stosic has had several opportunities to take his beautiful and deeply profound music to the African people. He has donated proceeds from the sales of his CDs to African and U.S. charities that help feed hungry.  In 2006, his ministry provided 286,000 meals to people in Zimbabwe.

Stosic’s new project, “One Heart, One Voice” will also serve to help raise funds for Africa’s needy. The Reno, Native said the CD is filled with upbeat and soul-lifting tunes arranged with a breezy, island feel. Along with the title track, there are nine others:

“I’ve been saying that this album sounds a lot like Jimmy Buffett, except for the Christian messages,” said Stosic, who has been a frequent guest on various TBN programs. “I wanted to create something different than what I’ve done before in the hopes it would appeal to cultures all around the world. I think this particular sound is very universal.”

Since 1986, Stosic has been steadily building a worldwide audience. He has released six CDs, all of which have brought him International recognition. His 2007 project, “Remember The Cross” landed at No. 48 on the prestigious Gospel Music National Top 100 chart.    His debut single and title track from the album landed at No. 5 on the Hot A/C Mainstream Charts, which are tracked by The Spins Tracking System and New Music Weekly online magazine.

Despite his successes, Stosic says he remains focused on his mission to bring God’s words of love, encouragement and comfort through his songs of worship and praise.

“My goal isn’t to become famous, but to help as many as I can through my music,” said Stosic, who has shared the stage with Pat and Debbie Boone. “Getting the name of the Lord out there is first and foremost. And whatever platform God grants me to do that, I will use.”

This October, Stosic will return to Africa for a six-week tour.
