Got $1,000,0000? With that much cash, and some talent, you are pretty much guaranteed to increase your odds of making it in the music industry. Although they say when it comes to show biz, there really are no guarantees. So perhaps a wad like that might be better spent on a trip around the world or a fancy car that makes you FEEL like a star when you’re cruising down the highway.
Now I’m not saying you should give up on your dream of becoming a successful recording artist. I just want to get the point across that the pursuit of fame can cost mega-bucks, so it’s best to consider how much it’s worth before you get in too deep.
I speak, dear colleague, from experience. As one who has followed the entertainer’s path, I have spent countless Ben Franklins trying to make a name for myself. Am I famous? No! But the outlay of money has not been in vain. I have made strides – BIG ones! Therefore, I have no regrets.
Along my journey, I’ve learned many secrets about how Independent artists can accomplish GREAT things without breaking their piggy banks many times over. And it’s my desire to use this knowledge to help my fellow performers achieve their goals on every level.
Got $1,000,000? Just kidding! Actually, I can help you for a WHOLE LOT LESS than that! And while I can’t promise to turn you into a star, I can assure you that I will do everything in my power to make you shine brighter than ever.
What that means is that I will assist you in building a bigger fan base, attracting more media attention and getting lots more airplay around the world. My company, Star Creek Records, will be your official representation and support system.
If this sounds good, read on! The following is a list of services I will provide for you, an artist on the North Star Records roster:
1) Promotions to Airplay Direct and radio station and charts around the world (extra charge for New Music Weekly promotion).
2) Exclusive digital distrubtion through Vision Forum, Inc. (Christian music only). For all other genres, digital distribution to the major download sites, including iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody, eMusic, Wal-mart, Amie Street, CD Baby and others.
3) Professionally-designed press kit (physical and DPK).
4.) Up to five press releases written and distributed.
5) Search engine optimization for your personal Web site.
6)Two featured articles in the online country and gospel music magazine Digital Refrain (one cover and one inside).
7) Electronic press kits submitted to: record labels, concert promoters, fairs & festivals, and churches ).
8) Press releases sent to local media outlets (newspapers & radio stations) where you are performing. Phone calls will also be made to these outlets to alert them of your shows.
9) On-going monitoring of your Web site, social networking sites and search engine listings for optimal visibility.
10 ) A guaranteed monthly spot on our “Faith In God” compilation CD that goes out to hundreds of radio stations through Airplay Direct.
11) Artist booking.
All of the above services will be spelled out in your contract, which will be for a one-year period. The cost to you is 5,000 and can be paid in monthly increments of $333, with a down payment of $1,000.
Before you gasp and say, “Is he crazy?” consider that most radio promoters in the industry will charge you between $3,500 and $6,500 to promote one song to the charts for a 6-8 week period. A publicity firm charges between $1,500 - $2,000 a month to keep your name in front of the public with press kits, press releases, newspaper articles, search engine optimization, etc.
Beyond those outrageous fees, major labels require that the artists they sign put up a sizable amount of earnest money, usually at least $250,000 or more. And that still doesn’t guarantee you’ll achieve all that you are striving for.
What sets Star Creek Records apart from the rest is that we truly CARE about our artists and want them to make a worldwide impact with their talents. We believe an excellent product should attract excellent response and are highly committed to getting YOUR MUSIC heard and purchased.
Still sound good? If so, please contact me as soon as possible so we can set up a phone meeting to discuss things further. Presently, we only have five spots open and are looking for artists who are extremely serious, focused and motivated.
Wishing you the best!
